Welcome Yosfi and Levi Orit on joining Silec Academy! We discovered different methods of doing multiplication by estimating and breaking up problems. By creating a multiplication table we explained that really multiplication is skip counting numbers.
Maor had his 11th birthday on Tuesday. Happy Birthday! We learned that our Neshoma gets extra power on our birthday, and how the Jewish (Lunar) and Gregorian (Solar) Calendars are calculated by moon and by the sun. This explains how we have Jewish birthdays and "English" birthdays that are at different times. However, they do line up every 19 years.
In English we are learning how to research. We learned about the differences between writing and reading. Some students are still working on their typing, and others are developing their ideas for their essays.
