Weekly Synopsis November 18, 2022 | 24 Chesvon 5773 Noam Wolf, Math and English Math is more than just numbers, it's about solving problems. This means that we aren't filling out answers on math worksheets. We are figuring out how many desks we would need to get if we had three classes of five students. Or how many dollars we would need to get the entire class Slurpee's if they cost $2.50 and we have five students. Although, that is simply trying to find the number of things for a few people. What happens when we need to figure out problems for dozens of people? This is what we are learning now. Solving two-digit multiplication problems. However, the process is tricky. They need to figure out problems like 23 x 47. In order to do this, we must first learn about digits, one's places, and tens places. Carrying over the digits in the tens place is also important.
